Josef Spacek (violin)

Saturday 13 April 2024, 20:00

For the first time, the talented Czech violinist Josef Spacek, known for his performances with major Dutch symphony orchestras such as the Residentie Orkest, forms a duo with our artist in residence, pianist Dmytro Choni. They take you on an extraordinary musical journey through the violin repertoire, with pieces such as Beethoven's dramatic Fourth Violin Sonata, Schumann's Romanzen and Prokofiev's relaxed Second Violin Sonata. Spacek's "amazing athletic ability" (The Scotsman) and his "spirited timbre" (The Telegraph) are beautifully expressed in these works.
