Musical feast full of atmosphere and fire
Never before have they stood on one stage: pianist Severin von Eckardstein, cellist Quirine Viersen and flautist Aldo Baerten. In the Edesche Concert Hall they provide an extra special experience, because the pieces they play are also rarely heard on the concert stage. Severin, Quirine and Aldo make it a musical feast full of atmosphere and fire! Haydn's cheerful Trio for flute, piano and cello sounds festive. The music will undoubtedly put a smile on your face, because with subtle musical jokes Haydn sometimes puts you on the wrong track
Chopin's Second Ballade
Frédéric Chopin and Gabriel Pierné are undisputed masters of the atmosphere. Severin von Eckardstein takes you to the dream world of medieval sagas and legends with Chopin's Second Ballade. Pierné's Sonata da camera sounds just as atmospheric with subtle references to the baroque. And the fire? The Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos takes care of that. His piece Assobio a Játo breathes the spirit of Brazilian folk music.
Excited Weber
With his choice of Weber's Trio, on. 63 as a final piece, Severin von Eckardstein brings together all kinds of elements from earlier pieces. This piece is also full of musical jokes. Moving and melancholic is the slow middle movement with the poetic title 'The Shepherd's Lament'. The piece ends with a fiery finale, with which Severin, Quirine and Aldo excitedly let you go home.
