Masterclasses are just as inspiring for the audience as they are for the participating musicians themselves. During this master class for advanced students of the Amsterdam Conservatory, Maria Milstein gives a glimpse of their musical development. You will experience up close what progress the participants make, how they overcome problems and how motivating it is to make music together. Extra special is that Maria Milstein during the master class some pieces The program looks like this:
13.15 - 14.00 hrs - First master class
14.05 - 14.50 hrs - Second master class
14.50 - 15.10 hours - PAUSE
15.10 - 15.55 hrs - Third master class

Good to know:
  • Visitors to the evening concert will have free admission to the master class upon presentation of their concert ticket
  • Visitors who only want to attend the master class pay € 7.50 entrance fee
  • During the master class the choice of seat is free

About Maria Milstein

Violinist Maria Milstein (1985) was born in Moscow, but grew up in France. She studied with Ilya Grubert in Amsterdam and David Takeno in London. She obtained both her bachelor's and master's degrees with the highest possible distinction. From 2011 to 2014 she was Artist in Residence of the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, where she studied with Augustin Dumay. Maria won the second prize at the international competition Città di Brescia in 2007, the violin scholarship of the Kersjes Fund in 2010 and the second prize at the international competition Rodolfo Lipizer in 2011. In January 2018 she received the Dutch Music Prize. Since 2014 Maria has been principal study teacher in violin at the Amsterdam Conservatoire. Maria Milstein plays a violin by Michel Angelo Bergonzi, whom she has on loan from the National Musical Instruments Fund
