Matangi Quartet

The Matangi Quartet belongs to the top of the Dutch string quartets and also creates a lot of furore abroad. The musicians played at the prestigious Festival of Aix-en-Provence and the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai. Moreover, the quartet won important prizes, such as the prestigious 'Kersjes van de Groenekan Prize' and several Edisons. Although the four musicians sometimes go on a musical outing, classical music is their core business. Especially with the music of Beethoven, the Matangi Quartet has built up a close bond.
