"Musical pieces and styles are not isolated islands," explains artist in residence Elisabeth Brauß. "Everything is connected to each other. That's why I like to build my programs from pieces that are in the same tradition." Together with her musical friends, violinist Noa Wildschut and cellist Alexander Warenberg, Elisabeth builds a musical bridge between a classical and a modern top hit: Schubert's First Piano Trio and Piazzolla's Cuatro estaciones porteñas. Although Piazzolla is the king of Argentine tango, in his pieces he clearly connects with the classical tradition of, for example, Schubert.
