Maria Milstein (violin), Quirine Viersen (cello)

Strijktrio in Bes, D. 581
Elisa Karen Tavenier (altviool) Quirine Viersen (cello) Maria Milstein (viool)
  • I. Allegro moderato
  • II. Andante
  • III. Menuetto. Allegretto
  • IV. Rondo. Allegretto
Few composers get to the heart of the string trio like Schubert. His trio sounds surprisingly rich, with three voices alternating effortlessly. Each instrument is full-bodied and regularly plays the proverbial first violin.
Strijktrio, op. 48
Elisa Karen Tavenier (altviool) Quirine Viersen (cello) Maria Milstein (viool)
  • I. Allegro con moto
  • II. Andante
  • III. Moderato assai
In Weinberg's String Trio op. 48 you hear a world of melancholy and repressed power. His Jewish roots and eventful life in the Soviet Union color every note, with echoes of Shostakovich and a completely unique, understated voice.
PAUZE
Divertimento in Es, KV 563
Elisa Karen Tavenier (altviool) Quirine Viersen (cello) Maria Milstein (viool)
  • I. Allegro
  • II. Adagio
  • III. Menuetto. Allegretto
  • IV. Andante
  • V. Menuetto. Allegretto
  • VI. Allegro
In the eighteenth century, the divertimento was true entertainment music. Mozart completely transcends the genre with his Divertimento in E-flat. The piece sounds light and bright, but is full of musical depth. You hear lilting melodies, refined variations and surprising turns: a chamber music jewel in which elegance and content merge.

Violinist Maria Milstein, cellist Quirine Viersen and viola player Elisa Karen Tavenier form a rock-solid trio on the concert stage. As soloists and in ensembles such as the Van Baerle Trio and the Animato Quartet, they shine on the major concert stages. At this unique concert, they join forces as a string trio. Enjoy masterpieces by Schubert and Weinberg and as icing on the cake: Mozart's only Divertimento for string trio. A challenge for any musician, but above all a feast for the listener.
