Kayhan Kalhor (Silk Road Ensemble)
The Iranian Kayhan Kalhor is the master of the Kamancheh, an ancient Persian bowed instrument. With his characteristic moustache he is a striking appearance in the Silk Road Ensemble from master cellist Yo-Yo Ma. Kalhor would like to go adventure with musicians from other musical traditions. In the past he has already worked with the world famous Kronos Quartet. Currently he joins forces with the Rembrandt's three jazz musicians Frerich's Trio.
