Lisa Jacobs and Ksenia Kouzmenko take you back to the illustrious past of these great masters of the violin. Paganini's story goes that the women swooned in the bushes when he played the violin. "In the end, what I want is to make people happy. That I see a smile on their faces, or a tear. Like when I played a violin solo last year at the National Remembrance Day on Dam Square. Afterwards I got nice e-mails from people who didn't like classical music at all, but were still very touched. Hitting people at such unexpected moments is a great pleasure."

Ksenia Kouzmenko
Ksenia graduated with a gold medal from the National Music Lycée, and with distinction from the National Music Academy of Belarus. After that she studied with Naum Grubert in The Hague and took master classes with illustrious pianists such as György Sándor, Lazar Berman, Earl Wild, Charles Rosen and composer György Kurtág. She also won prizes for piano accompaniment at important international competitions. The jury report of the Tromp Competition praises Ksenia Kouzmenko as a convincing "performer, whose elegant gesture is always at the service of the music. She dares to take risks and drags the listener along on her musical voyages of discovery"
