About the Arcadia Trio

The three members of the Arcadia Trio got to know each other during their studies at the Utrecht Conservatoire. There they specialized in the romantic repertoire. The lecterns regularly feature work by Brahms, Beethoven, Bruch, Glinka and Zemlinsky. Together they gave concerts in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Nijmegen and Brussels. In 2011 they made their debut in the small hall of Muziekcentrum Vredenburg in Utrecht. The Arcadia Trio consists of clarinettist Steven Geraads, pianist Henriëtte Wirth and cellist Timothée Busch.

About the members of the Arcadia Trio

Steven Geraads studied clarinet at the Utrecht Conservatoire at Celeste Zewald. Later he continued his studies with Hein Wiedijk Steven followed master classes with Karl Leister, Wenzel Fuchs and others Herman Braune. In recent years, he has regularly re-placed at the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, conducted by conductors such as Mariss Jansons, Heinz Holliger and Eliahu Inbal. He's very active in the chamber music and besides the Arcadia Trio also part of Trio Trajectum and the Busan Quartet and forms a duo with pianist Henriëtte Wirth.

Henriëtte Wirth started playing the piano when she was 9 years old. She studied Musicology at Utrecht University. After winning first prize at the Bloemendaal piano competition, she also started studying piano at the Utrecht Conservatory. In 2006 she obtained her Bachelor degree cum laude. Subsequently, in 2008 Henriëtte obtained her Master's degree with Paolo Giacometti and Klára Würtz. As a pianist she is active as a soloist, chamber musician and as a song accompanist. At the moment she is continuing her studies at the Royal Conservatoire in Brussels with, among others, pianist Daniel Blumenthal.

Timothée Busch started cello lessons at the age of seven the conservatory of Luxembourg. When he was 20 he studied at solo cellist of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Stephan Rieckhoff. Two years later he came to the Netherlands, where he continued his studies at the Conservatories of Amsterdam and Utrecht. He also followed masterclasses with Rafael Wallfish and Torleif Thedéen, among others. With timothy regularly substitutes in the Arnhem Philharmonic Orchestra.
