Florian Noack
The legendary pianist Brigitte Engerer spoke of Florian Noack's prophetic words: "I am impressed by his maturity, his enormous technical possibilities, his intelligent and innate musicality. I think a brilliant career as a pianist is beyond question here." By now this promise has more than been fulfilled, because Florian Noack is one of the greatest Belgian piano talents of the past decades. "He touches the heart of music... His sumptuous piano sound is a delight to the ear," wrote the renowned music magazine Gramophone about him. Florian has won numerous prizes at international competitions, such as the Rachmaninov International Competition, the Internationals Robert-Schumann-Wettbewerb and the Kölner Klavierwettbewerb. His second CD with music by Sergei Lyapunov was awarded a Diapason d'Or and the International Classical Music Award in 2017
Great orchestral works on piano
In addition to being a pianist, Florian Noack is also a gifted composer with only 27 years of age. He translated several large orchestral works to the piano, for which he received the prestigious ECHO Klassik Award in 2015 as 'Emerging Artist of the Year'. These adaptations find their way to the major international stages through master pianists like Boris Berezovsky, Cyprien Katsaris and Dmitri Bashkirov. In the Edesche Concert Hall Florian Noack plays his own transcription of Tchaikovsky's Overture-fantaisie 'Romeo and Juliet'
Tchaikovsky's "Romeo and Juliet
The story is well known. Romeo and Juliet belong to two arguing families. If they fall in love with each other, family relationships don't improve. They decide to marry each other in secret, but in the end they have to pay for it with death. Some claim that Tchaikovsky wrote the most beautiful symphonic poem with his 'Romeo and Juliet'. Judge for yourself in the phenomenal adaptation that Florian Noack made of it.
Listen to Florian Noack in his own adaptation of Tchaikovsky's 'Swan Lake'
Please note: due to an operation Nikolai Lugansky had to cancel several concerts worldwide, including those in Ede. Lugansky will be back at another time. Florian Noack is replacing him tonight.
People who bought a ticket before 28 March 2017 can visit both the concert of Florian Noack and the replacement concert of Nikolai Lugansky. They have now received notification of the replacement date.
