Simone Lamsma
All over the world, the press and public are furiously enthusiastic about Simone Lamsma. "Brilliant, polished, expressive and intense," and "absolutely stunning," the newspapers in the United States wrote. Conductor Jaap van Zweden, with whom Simone works closely, describes her as one of the world's leading violinists. Together with pianist Robert Kulek, Simone made her long-awaited debut at London's Wigmore Hall and New York's Carnegie Hall in March 2017. With those experiences in her pocket, she returns to the Edesche Concert Hall
Robert Kulek
Pianist Robert Kulek feels like a chamber musician above all else. "Communicating together on stage with music is the sweetest thing I do," is his motto. In his career Robert Kulek has developed into a gifted partner of renowned musicians such as cellist Daniel Müller-Schott and violinists Augustin Hadelich and Arabella Steinbacher and Simone Lamsma. His recordings - he won an Edison among others - are invariably praised by the international press.
Robert Kulek about violinist Simone Lamsma:
What appeals to him so much in Simone's playing is what he calls her 'complex musical personality'. "By this I mean the unique combination of directness and clarity of expression. From the first moment I played with her, I understood what she wanted to say musically."

Cesar Franck and Eugène Ysaÿe
In December 2016 Simone Lamsma and Robert Kulek already made a big impression in the Edesche Concert Hall with Richard Strauss' 'Violin Sonata'. In this concert she lets her French heart speak with perhaps the most beautiful sonata of the entire nineteenth century, the 'Violin Sonata' by César Franck. Franck wrote this world-famous piece as a wedding present for his friend and violinist Eugène Ysaÿe. Van Ysaÿe plays Simone Lamsma under his 'Third Violin Sonata', entitled 'Balade'
