Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amelie Poulain: Comptine d’Ete
Feico Deutekom (piano) Lavinia Meijer (harp)
Even if you haven't seen the movie 'Amelie', the music undoubtedly sounds familiar to your ears. Several pieces from it were later used in various television programs. In 2001 Tiersen won the World Soundtrack Award for 'Best Original Soundtrack of the Year' with his music and in 2002 a César Award for 'Meilleure musique écrite pour un film'.

  • The Heart Asks Pleasure First
The film 'The Piano' (1993) produced a soundtrack that has become a classic. The moving story takes place in the nineteenth century and the music also sounds a bit like from that time. Why is that? Composer Michael Nyman imagined his music as it could have been improvised at the time.
Ambre
Lavinia Meijer (harp)
The German musician and composer Nils Frahm made a name for himself in a short time with his combination of classical and electronic music. In 'Ambre' Lavinia takes you to a musical fairytale world.

'Les Chants Estivaux' for two pianos or harp and piano Douwe Eisenga wrote especially for Lavinia Meijer and Feico Deutekom. An enchanting piece that sounds like an eternal summer

Candyman (sel.)
Shout 'Candyman' five times while standing in front of a mirror and the strangest things happen. This is roughly the meaning of the famous horror film 'Candyman' (1992). Philip Glass wrote the original film music. Although he thought Hollywood production was questionable, he still stands squarely behind his music.
